The purpose of the Forest Ecology Network (FEN) is to protect the native
forest environment of Maine through public awareness, grassroots citizen
activism, and education. FEN promotes forest practices that respect
the ecological and aesthetic integrity of the Maine Woods, and works
to eliminate the clear cutting, over cutting, and herbicide spraying
associated with industrial forestry.
